  • Climate Types: High temperatures and dry air accelerate fluid loss. The calculator adjusts for local climate conditions, adding fluids for warm or hot settings and decreasing baseline requirements for colder environments where respiration rates are lower.
  • Gender: Men generally have higher muscle mass-to-fat ratios than women, requiring slightly higher baseline hydration levels. Our algorithm adjusts for these typical physiological differences.
